Acrylic works on mirror exploring themes of identity, self, and perception. Each mirror is based on a poem that is integrated into the piece. A series that began in 2019 and is ongoing and evolving.
repurpose
2019
Mixed media and collage works that utilize scraps from art making processes and past undesireable pieces, giving new life to what would otherwise be discarded. Some digital and some analog, each work has experienced multiple iterations of itself in which it was re-cut and re-collaged into a more evolved form.
observation + reference
2015-2019
Oil, acrylic, and watercolor works created with observational practices and based on visual references, both from-life and photographed. Compositions include still life, plein air, figure, and portrait.
