
Hairlot Deluxe is a Columbus-based, Black-and-Woman owned luxury hair brand founded with a clear, confident vision: she wanted her brand to feel fun and feminine while still delivering premium quality, without the premium price tag. Hair is meant to be expressive, joyful, and empowering, and the brand needed to reflect that spirit while also communicating bold luxury.
I worked alongside Creative Gold Agency and closely with the founder to bring that vision to life through a full brand suite, including logo design, a vibrant-yet-polished color palette, and modern typography. We struck a visual balance that felt luxurious without being stiff, then brought that brand to her photography and e-commerce store.

In addition to branding, I built Hairlot Deluxe’s e-commerce site on Shopify. The focus was to make the site beautiful and equipped to support the business from day one, including functionality like custom product filters, a robust inventory system, and international shipping capabilities. I constructed the user experience with the primary goal of transforming users into buyers and customized a Shopify theme to bring the branding to life.
To enhance usability, I implemented custom product filters that enable customers to browse by hair type, length, and style, as well as brought each product type to the primary menu of the site to streamline shopping. I designed a polished Homepage that shows off the breadth and quality of the products, and an informative About page that highlights the founder’s story and mission to give the brand a personal and trustworthy presence. I also built out an FAQ section, written with both customer clarity and SEO strategy in mind, to help improve organic search visibility.
The client’s playful color palette was woven throughout the site to add a sense of fun and lightness, while still keeping the overall layout clean, modern, and conversion-focused. I added a direct WhatsApp contact button at the request of the client, allowing international customers to reach out to the owner with ease.
With support from the Creative Gold Agency team on product photography, we elevated the visual storytelling across the site. On the backend, I configured all necessary systems for inventory, payments, and payouts, so the site could launch as a fully operational e-commerce platform.
Every part of the Hairlot Deluxe band and site was designed to reflect their spirit — luxurious but approachable, expressive yet professional, and ultimately built to empower both the founder and her customers.
